Cream – A film by Lena Ólafsdóttir
Cream takes place in a doctor’s waiting room where soothing music and the opportunity to enjoy an ice cream brings about an alleviating atmosphere.
What could possibly go wrong in a healthcare institution where help is nearby?
The cold and ugly sides of human nature reveal themselves as the narrative touches on the cycle of birth and death and the absurdity of life.
Let’s hope the doctor can help!

Production notes
On the final stages of pregnancy, a silent wife accompanied by her equally taciturn husband, enter the obstetrician’s practice, taking a seat in the waiting room for the regular check-up.
Lost in thought, the seemingly alienated couple who passes the time indolently in the lounge is too preoccupied to notice the hungry vagabond in the room, after all, there’s free ice-cream for all patients.
Eventually, as the succession of emotions becomes swifter and more violent, there will be life, there will be death, and everything in between.
